Stunning and unique, Gretzsky was made to standout! His handsome, one of a kind look and laid back demeanor catch the eye of anyone who walks past him. With three white socks, a bold blaze, Rabicano coat pattern and long flaxen mane and tail you will be noticed. While he is beautiful, he is also broke and versatile. Gretzsky has a gorgeous way of moving. Low headed, slow legged and smooth are the best way to describe how he carries himself. He works off a loose, one handed neck rein and leg pressure. Gretzsky has impeccable transitions from walk, trot to lope and easily transitions from a slow trot to extended trot and from a lope to a hand gallop. He will stop on a dime and drag his butt in the ground when asked. He is a fully trained cutting horse with NCHA earnings. His ability to read and rate a cow and his cool way of moving have made him a top contender in ranch horse versatility events. Most recently he competed in an All Cowgirl Ranch Horse Versatility event where he competed against 82 horses in Ranch Sorting, Ranch Pleasure, Barrels, Ranch Cutting and Ranch Trail. He ended up Reserve Champion in Ranch Pleasure, Top 10 in Ranch Trail & Ranch Cutting and was the Champion Overall Horse. Gretzsky handles obstacles with ease and presence. He has a look in pattern and obstacle classes that catches the judges eye. Opening and closing gates, side passing, trot overs, water crossings, bridges and unique back throughs are all maneuvers that Gretzsky does handily. He has had extensive outside riding as well. He is traffic safe, good with different terrain, sure footed and has a nice easy way of moving. From the deserts of Arizona to the lakes of Minnesota, Gretzsky has seen all types of terrain. Gretzsky stands 15 hands tall making him an easy step into the stirrup. He stands quietly to mount and unmount, he is also broke to a mounting block. We have owned Gretzsky for over a year and he has been an absolute pleasure. He is a kind soul who has the ability to pack a multitide of riders. Gretzky stands quietly tied to groom and saddle. He will drop his head for the bridle and walks right off when you get on him. He stands quietly for the farrier and loves to be pampered with baths, kisses and love.
