Champ is a stunning 8-year-old buckskin Quarter Horse gelding. He is super stocky built and capable of carrying any size rider but also a nice handy size making him easy to mount. Champ is truly one of a kind. He has been my personal horse and has become part of our family. If you’re looking for a super safe but also really good broke gelding then Champ is exactly that. He has been on many family trail rides and is a great trail horse. Champ can go in any direction, whether you need a finished ranch horse, trail horse, or a horse to ride in the arena . He has been one of our most reliable horses on the ranch making him my go to horse when I need to go out and do a job or want to go out on a nice relaxing trail ride. Champ was used on a large cow calf operation tagging and sorting baby calves and along with working long days tending cattle in the feedlot before coming to me. The last year he has been used primarily as a family trail horse because he is so safe and quiet and gentle to ride. This tailor-made gelding is smooth riding, making it fun and enjoyable to ride for anyone that swings a leg over him. Champ is one hand broke, making it easy for everyone to ride him. He guides off leg and hand pressure very well, making riding very easy. Champ has been ridden in all types of terrain and is very sure footed in the rough country, in the rocks, mud, and going over logs. He is a seasoned, very safe, trail horse. You can get on him and go do any job on the ranch, saddle him up and go ride him like an old farm horse, or enjoy a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon ride. I love how trained he is but love even more how safe he is. Champ has a nice one hand neck rein, good stop and back up, and lopes very nice circles. He is very friendly and loves attention.
