SJR Mighty Jet AKA “Jet” is a true gentle, well broke gelding that’s safe for just about anyone that can sit on his back. Jet is 7 yrs old and stands 15.3 hands tall. He is going to be that big, safe gelding that makes you want to go out and ride! He has the biggest teddy bear personality, he is level headed and quiet. His favorite speed is slow, making him an excellent beginner safe horse. We have yet to find much of anything that truly phases him. He isn’t gonna shy away from noisy traffic, deer running out of the field, or even barking dogs. He will side pass both ways, collects up nicely, and has smooth lead changes. We have used him a ton on trail rides and even overnight camping trips. We have pushed cattle on him as well as lightly pasture roped off him- hes been very useful to us ponying and snubbing colts, too. We have had several kids ride Jet and he has never failed at taking care of them- which makes for a very enjoyable experience for them. He will be the same horse every-time you pull him out. Jet is sure footed and stout even through some pretty rough footing.
He has excellent box stall manners, or turn him out in the pasture with a group, which ever you prefer. He makes for a hassle free job when it comes to the farrier. He also likes to be bathed and groomed. Jet will stand tied patiently and tacks well too.
