Seine Mutter ist in der belgischen Reitponyzucht hoch erfolgreich. BON JOVI legte 2002 die Stationsprüfung mit der Gesamtnote 8,48 ab und fiel als überragender Springer auf. Als 5- und 6-jähriger qualifizierte er sich zwei Mal für das Bundeschampionat. Als Sieger in Schauspringen überwand BON JOVI Hindernishöhen bis 1,70 m. Neben hervorragenden Championatsfohlen gehören mehrere Elitestuten, darunter eine Siegerin sowie vier gekörte Söhne, von denen Bumerang im Jahr 2010 ebenfalls Bundessieger der springbetonten Sportponyhengste werden konnte. BON JOVI’s spektakulärste Nachkommen waren in den letzten Jahren Bell-a-Bon, der mit Josepha Fischer die Deutsche Meisterschaft der Pony Vielseitigkeitsreiter gewinnen konnte sowie Bonny, die im Gespann von Thomas Seitz vielfach in Kl.
