He's been used to check fences and check cattle. He has been pasture roped off of, catching calves to doctor or the wild cows that just won't be caught any other way. Just last week I caught 2 different 1600 lb cows from him and he was quick enough and stout enough to get the job done. Billy is super athletic and quick on his feet. He is stout on the horn when holding even the biggest cows. He doesn't get too excited and stays calm. He one hand neck reins, is soft in the mouth and backs very well. He takes correct leads, has a big stop and will lope out of his tracks. He is awesome as a trail horse too. He rides with ease through deep water, mud, up and down steep hills and anything else that he may face on the trail.
