Mit einer Größe von 1,65 m ist sie kräftig und kompakt gebaut. Ihr Name stammt von ihrer fast königlichen Ausstrahlung. Sie besitzt eine würdige, zurückhaltende Persönlichkeit und bleibt unbeeindruckt von ihrer Umgebung. Mehrfach hat sie bewiesen, dass sie zuverlässig ist und alles diszipliniert und distinguiert ausführt. Neben ihrer beeindruckenden Persönlichkeit fällt auch ihr großes, freundliches Auge auf, das ihre Freundlichkeit und Ehrlichkeit widerspiegelt. Sie hat schöne Beine und eine conformation, die für viele Disziplinen geeignet ist. Ihre Fellfarbe ist außergewöhnlich – als Dun Paint zeigt sie Streifen an den Beinen und eine deutlich ausgeprägte Rückenbinde. Dutchess ist auch unter dem Sattel sehr angenehm. Sie geht Schritt, Trab und Longe auf lockerer Zügelführung. Sie verfügt über einen guten Halt und macht langsame, korrekte Spins in beide Richtungen. Sie ist sehr weich im Maul und reagiert gut auf die Beine. Sie lässt sich sowohl mit Halsring als auch zweihändig reiten, je nach Vorliebe. Mit den Beinen kann man sie in alle Richtungen bewegen, und sie kann seitwärts gehen aus dem Stillstand, im Schritt und Trab. Dutchess ist nicht schreckhaft und geht fast überall hin, wo man sie hinführen möchte. Sie eignet sich für Trails, die Reithalle oder sogar den Straßenverkehr. Sie lässt sich problemlos in den Trailer laden und wieder ausladen. Sie steht ruhig beim Putzen, Satteln und Waschen, sowohl am Stall als auch am Anhänger. Dutchess macht sowohl allein als auch in der Gruppe eine gute Figur und zeigt kein marisches Verhalten gegenüber anderen Stuten oder Wallachen. Kürzlich wurde sie vom Zahnarzt, Hufschmied und Chiropraktiker untersucht und war vorbildlich. Sie ist eine „Ja-Ma’am“-Pferd – wenn ich etwas von ihr verlange, braucht es keine Diskussion, sie sagt einfach „Ja, Ma’am“! Dutchess or “Peggys Gone N Dun It” is a 2014 model Dun Registered Paint Mare. Standing at 15H this mare is strong and stout. Dutchess got her name from her almost regal presence. She has a dignified, reserved personality and remains unbothered by her surroundings. She has proven to me time and time again that she is consistent and does all things in a disciplined, distinguished manner. Her personality isn’t the only thing to brag about though. She has a big kind eye that shows how kind and honest she is. She has nice legs and confirmation suitable for many disciplines. Her color is something extraordinary as well as a Dun Paint she has some striping on her legs and a very prominent dorsal stripe on her back. Dutchess also rides wonderfully. She will walk, trot, lope on a loose rein. She has a very nice stop and has slow correct spins in both directions. She is very soft in your hands and moves off your leg nicely. She will neck rein nicely or you can ride two handed if you prefer. You can move any part of her with your legs and she side passes from a woah, walk, and trot. Dutchess is not spooky and will go almost anywhere you tell her. She rides nicely on trails, the arena, or even traffic. She loads and unloads from the trailer very nicely without any hesitation. She stands nicely at the barn or the trailer to be groomed, saddled, and bathed. Dutchess does very well by herself or in a group and does not act marish around other mares or geldings. Dutchess has recently been seen by my dentist, farrier, and chiropractor and was an excellent citizen for all. She is what I call a “yes ma’am” type of horse. I ask for something and there doesn’t have to be a conversation about it she just says “yes ma’am”! She has been an amazing horse to have in my barn and a true joy to be around.
