Bluebell is a 4 year old 15.2 hand QH/Percheron cross. She is a beautiful blue roan mare with an exceptional, unflappable mind and the sweetest, most affectionate personality you could ask for!
Bluebell is SAFE and FANCY. She came directly from her breeder and has been our program for the past year. She has earned what we consider “elite” status. Owning a horse of her caliber has been an absolute pleasure, and we are beyond proud to represent a horse with this much quality, heart, and character.
Under English tack, Bluebell is ridden in a simple snaffle. She leg-yields beautifully, moves off the leg and has smooth balanced transitions. She turns on the haunches, picks up the canter directly from the walk, and has a perfect halt/stop with a simple “whoa.” She is adjustable, soft, brave, and incredibly willing and honest with every rider.
Bluebell has been to multiple cross country facilities! She confidently goes into the water, jumps down banks AND double down banks , over coops, brush, and hedges! She is the same bold, honest horse every time. Our 8 year old rider has taken her solo around the cross country course, which truly speaks volumes about her brain and reliability. She has also been trail ridden extensively and is 100% traffic safe!
Bluebell happily packed a timid adult amateur down the beach and straight into the crashing waves without hesitation. Bluebell has also completed full obstacle courses including the teeter-totter bridge, pool noodles, and more! Bluebell has been around cattle, including longhorns! She has even been ridden at night through colorful smoke bombs and around fire.
In Western tack, she is just as beautiful and broke. She will stop on a dime, move out into an extended trot or settle into a slow jog, and responds beautifully to your voice. She is truly husband safe for a quiet ride.
Bluebell also rides completely bridleless — walk, trot, canter, and even jump! Notice in the video that our arena has no fencing, which is a true testament to her training and rideability. She stays soft, responsive, and confident off your seat, leg, and voice alone.
What truly sets Bluebell apart is her temperament. She is a total love bug! Cuddly , sweet, and a genuine people horse. She will meet you at the gate where the smallest riders can bring her in, groom, tack up, and handle her completely on their own. She stands quietly and patiently for every step. Bluebell has safely carried riders from 8 to 77 years old and is consistently my go to horse when I need to pack a child or timid adult amateur. She is kind, honest, confidence building, and trustworthy in every situation we put her in.
In the barn, she is just as wonderful. Easy to load, tie, cross tie and catch. Bluebell is happy inside, turned out alone or in a mixed herd! She is barefoot & has absolutely no vices. She is an easy keeper.
To sum it up, Bluebell is a thoroughly tested, family-safe horse that is also talented and trained enough for the show ring! She is suitable for the walk trot rider, yet fancy and capable enough to jump cross country, go down centerline, or step right into the show jump ring!! Family safe, kid safe, amateur safe AND beautiful with all the fun buttons.
