Meet Hombré – A Horse with the Heart of a Cowboy and the Talent to Do It All. Some horses are made for one job. Hombré was made for a lifetime of adventures. Registered as County Road 677, this handsome 2016 AQHA gelding is affectionately known as Hombré—a name that fits him perfectly. In Spanish, hombre means “man,” and this gelding is every bit the dependable cowboy partner his name suggests. With a pedigree tracing back to legendary performers Hollywood Dun It and Tanquaray Gin, Hombré combines outstanding bloodlines with the kind of real-world experience that can’t be bred—it has to be earned. Hombré is the horse everyone is searching for but very few ever find. He’s the kind that quietly takes care of his rider, gives you confidence with every step, and always meets you with a willing attitude. His calm, laid-back personality makes him enjoyable for riders of all experience levels, and his kind disposition means he’s never in a hurry and never looking for trouble. On the ranch, Hombré has done the work that matters. He has pasture roped, doctored sick cattle, caught cattle out of thick brush, worked in the feed yard, sorted cattle, and loaded trucks. Long days, tough terrain, and demanding jobs are all part of his everyday resume. He’s dependable, honest, and knows what a day’s work looks like. When it’s time to leave the ranch, Hombré is just as impressive. He is a seasoned trail horse that has been ridden through the rugged mountains of Wyoming on elk hunting trips, confidently navigating steep terrain while packing gear and taking care of his rider every mile of the journey. Rough country, creek crossings, deadfall timber, and mountain trails are all second nature to him. In the arena, Hombré is equally enjoyable. He is one-hand broke, responds willingly to leg pressure, lopes perfect circles, and has the soft, responsive handle that every rider appreciates. He’s also been ridden English and has proven himself to be a talented jumper, showcasing the athleticism and versatility that make him stand out from the crowd. If you’re looking for a horse that can spend the week gathering cattle, the weekend carrying you down the trail, and still look classy enough to ride in the arena, Hombré is your horse. He’s the definition of a versatile, trustworthy partner—safe enough to build confidence, broke enough to satisfy experienced riders, and honest enough to earn your trust every single ride. Horses with this kind of pedigree, experience, and gentle disposition don’t come along every day. Hombré isn’t just another AQHA gelding—he’s the kind of horse you’ll compare every future horse to. If you’ve been waiting for that one special partner who can truly do it all, your search ends right here with Hombré. For more info call Grace 513-594-6764
