Laredo has been the kind of horse I can count on. Whether I'm saddling up to mosey down the trails with friends or heading out alone to enjoy the scenery, he is the same reliable partner each ride. He calmly crosses water, carefully picks his way up and down steep inclines, and confidently navigates rough or uneven terrain. The kids enjoy him just as much at home as they do on the trail. My youngest son, who isn't quite ready to ride independently, has ridden double with one of the older kids, giving us further confidence in Laredo's trustworthy demeanor.
In the arena, Laredo is uncomplicated, forgiving, and user-friendly. He offers a smooth trot, a comfortable canter, and travels willingly in both directions on the correct lead. He can be stalled or live outside full time, gets along well turned out with other horses, and is easy to catch, load, and haul. He enjoys attention, stands quietly for bathing and grooming, and handles visits from the veterinarian and farrier with the same cooperative attitude.
