For more details and to register visit: www.Horsebid.com CONSIGNOR CONTACT: Triple R Horses 610-806-2613 LOCATION: New Holland PA BREED: AQHA REGISTERED: Yes REGISTERED NAME: Two Gun Whiz COLOR: Bay HEIGHT: 14.3 AGE: 3 GENDER: Gelding “Two Gun Whiz” aka “Ransom” is a three year old, 14.3hh, AQHA gelding who is a huge puppy dog, extremely versatile, and safe for the whole family! Are you looking for a horse to take you to the show pen, then the next day pack your kids or husband around in the ring or on the trails? Don’t be afraid of his age, Ransom is an old soul who loves to please and enjoys spending time with his humans. Not only is Ransom incredibly kind and honest, he has a spectacular pedigree full of top quality, money earning horses. Here is a unique gelding, with something for everyone!!! In the barn, Ransom has zero bad habits. He is as quiet as a mouse in his stall and never asks for anything. He is extremely gentle to work around and safe for beginners and children to work with, run around, groom, etc. He could care less about a busy barn alley with pups running all around him. Ransom stands on the cross ties to be groomed, tacked, bathed, and absolutely loves attention. He will fall asleep while having his mane braided. You can play all around him, sit on his back while grooming him, crawl under him, he is just happy to be involved. Ransom is a baby sitter in the pasture, he gets along with every single horse and causes absolutely zero drama. He is the first one to approach you in the pasture. He can live out in a mixed herd and also doesn’t mind living alone. His pasture has a large section of woods and a creek, and every single day, he takes himself for a stroll through the woods, and can even be found napping in a sunny spot in the middle of the woods. He is very independent and stress free. Ransom has great ground manners, and can be handled by anyone. Ransom absolutely loves trail riding and he is safe for anyone on the trails. I have been throwing guests on him for trail rides, and he takes care of his rider like an old pro. I would put my grandmother on him and trust that he will be safe, and gentle. Ransom will lead, follow, go alone and in groups. He is not the slightest bit spooky, and he will be a brave leader through obstacles when asked. He crosses water, bridges, logs, rocks, and is safe with my pups trailing his heels. We kicked up pheasant not even two feet from us in a field and I had an older, beginner lady on him, and even though my horse spooked and spun, Ransom didn’t even bat an eye. I couldn’t have asked for a better horse in that situation. We have also had deer jump out in front of us, and again, Ransom paid no mind. Ransom is the type of horse that you can throw into the middle or the back and his rider can ride on the buckle the whole time, he will follow the crew. He doesn’t jog to stay caught up, he doesn’t mind if the group leaves him. Ransom makes a great guest horse and would be an awesome camping partner. With his great demeanor and level of quietness on the trails, I could see Ransom being a fantastic hunt mount as well. Ransom rides western, english and bareback. He does not have a preference. He does not need to be in a routine. He can sit for weeks, tack up and go with no silly business. He is the type of horse that your kids could go climb all over in the pasture. He rides in a snaffle, shank, bosal, halter and lead, and a neck rope. I have even played around with completely tack less. He is the perfect combo of whoa and go, quiet and laid back, yet goes to work when asked. You can ride him with no spurs, or spurs. Two handed or one handed. He is responsive to your aids, yet knows when he has a child or beginner on him, he will dull his responses way down. How many three year olds are capable of doing that?! Not only is he extremely intelligent and loves to learn, he is also very forgiving and does not get up set if his rider is off balance or handsy. Despite Ransom being a reining/cow bred type of QH, he is actually very uphill, setting him up for versatility in every discipline. He has enough shoulder and neck to balance a kid, or go succeed in the english world! He has beautiful gaits, and he is very adjustable to each rider and discipline. Ransom has entertained many different riders in his time with me, he bonds nicely with each rider, whether new or have been riding him for a while. I truly feel that this horse was born broke. He has had a very easy start in life, he has not been drilled, he has not been pushed, he is just incredibly intelligent, and quick to learn. Another thing I love about Ransom is that I can pull him in from the pasture and throw him in a stall, in an empty barn and he doesn’t not pace or holler for his friends. He just simply does not care if he is alone or not. In the ring, Ransom will walk, jog, trot, lope, canter, gallop, knows his leads and has a lead change. He moves laterally off of leg, bends around your leg, has great lead departures, he will move his forehand and hind quarters, side pass, neck rein, ride solely off of your leg, started on a nice turn around and started on a slide stop. Bring your legs forward and he will go into reverse. You can ride him collected or on the buckle. You can adjust his head set for different styles of riding. Bring him down slowly through the gaits or ask for that big whoa. He is not going to stop hard or spin a beginner or kid off, he knows the difference in cues. When I tell you this horse is smart and unique, I mean it. He is soft in your hands, and pays attention to his rider. Yet doesn’t get confused nor upset when a beginner or kid is in his face, or using the reins to balance. His attitude is unbeatable. I do not get ride reining trained horses often, and I quite frankly don’t know what I am doing, but I have had so much fun learning with Ransom, he has taught me so much. I have taken a few lessons on him and he never gets upset with me. He would be the perfect horse for someone transitioning and wanting to learn. Yet he would also be the perfect horse for someone looking to go into the show world. I could see Ransom being an awesome ranch riding horse, ranch trail, reining, trail obstacle, western dressage, and more!! Ransom doesn’t care what tack you throw on him. He is the cutest boy under english tack. He will walk, trot, canter, swap his leads, and pop over little fences. He has not been jumped a lot at all, as he is young and still growing. But the few times that he has, he was honest and straight forward. He takes everything in stride. He has a cute little jump to him and could make an adorable hunter pony. I gave a beginner kid an english lesson on him and she loved him. He toted her around as proud as ever. Ransom is sired by “Who’s The Whiz Kid”, who is a money earning, reining stallion. Grandsired by “Who Whiz It”, who is a world champion sire. Great Grandsired by the famous “Topsail Whiz”, a sire who left an impact on the reining horse world. He was the first reining sire to surpass twelve million in progeny earnings. He was inducted into the AQHA hall of fame in 2022, and is considered one of the all time leading reigning sires. Ransom is also Great Grandsired by the famous “Colonels Smoking Gun”. Gunner’s offspring have already surpassed the twelve million dollar mark. Gunner is labeled as NRHA’s all-time leading sire. He is a world champion sire, and was inducted into the National Reining Horse Association Hall Of Fame. Ransom also goes back to “Doc Bar”, a legendary AQHA stallion who was revolutionary in the cutting horse world. His bloodlines are still sought after in today’s performance horse breeding. Ransom is bred for brains and success. His bloodlines are full of world champions, and he is here to carry on the legacy. Ransom has been off property to shows and lots of trailering to new trails, he is the same horse off of property every time. He has been to multiple ranch sortings and team pennings. He absolutely loves chasing cows and knows how to do the job. He will turn on and go to work for someone wanting to compete, yet will remain easy enough for someone just starting out. He is not bothered by a busy warm up ring, or lots of commotion. He will go, compete and walk out and stand for an hour with the crew. His all around exposure has proved a calm mind, and ability to be a saint in new scenes. Ransom is an easy keeper, with a simple diet and no maintenance. He can live in or out. He is not on a strict feeding routine so he is not going to be banging on a gate to get grain. He currently gets a little bit of grain in the morning and access to orchard grass mix hay 24/7. Ransom is 100% sound with clean legs, great feet and can wear shoes or go barefoot. I had a full PPE done on Ransom and the vet had nothing but great things to say about him, nice clean legs, no health issues. The vet also complimented his demeanor multiple times. Ransom loads and trailers well, you can tie him to the trailer to get ready. He is great for the farrier and vet. If you are looking for easy going, no drama, no special needs, can live out with anyone, here is your boy. Well folks, here is your chance to own a once in a lifetime horse. I purchased this horse with intentions on keeping him for me. But I can not justify this horse getting ridden here and there, he fully deserves a home where he is going to be used and loved. He deserves absolutely nothing but the best, as that is what he has given us. I know that Ransom is not the most “flashy” or “prettiest” of colors, but he has a beautiful heart. He is a beautiful cherry bay, and shines in his summer coat. Ransom has left his mark on us, and the whole barn. He has been a blessing to have, and I will be jealous of his next owner. The barn will feel strange without him, he brings so much sunshine and good vibes. I know that this write up is long, but he is easy to write about. And I am sure that I have forgotten stuff. Please don’t hesitate to reach out for more information. Ransom’s video is longer than this description…. And I ask that you do watch the whole video, as it is very in depth. I have over 200 photos of Ransom and FB only allows 100, so I have included a link to a google drive below, with tons of photos. Whether you are looking for a family horse, a show horse, a trail horse, a pet, Ransom is here to fulfill all of your needs. I don’t think I have ever met a young soul, so capable. Not only does he have an old soul and a fantastic brain, he has the athleticism and bloodlines to go and do great things!!! I want the best home for my boy, but I am not picky on whether he competes or if he is just a trail horse, because he genuinely loves both. It is up to you to decide, go and do it all, and do it safely. For more information, please contact us. Ransom is up to date on farrier, worming, shots, coggins and I will pay for a health certificate for shipping. Shipping can be arranged anywhere.
