“Jake” is a 4 year old 15.1 hand Quarter horse gelding. Jake is a super laid back and sweet guy that almost anyone can ride and get along with. Don’t let his age fool you, he is gentle and wise beyond his years!
In the arena, Jake has a nicely balanced walk, trot and canter. He would be an excellent choice for someone looking to do fun shows, trail competitions, or ranch classes. Jake neck reins, side passes, picks up both leads, will lope a nice circle, and has a good stop! He is very well desensitized, carries a flag, doesn’t mind a tarp, and is use to loud heavy equipment around the farm. He has been exposed to cattle, goats, dogs and all the usual farm life. On the trails he is very solid and dependable! He crosses logs, bridges, and creeks without hesitation and maintains the same quiet, level headed composure! He is traffic safe and has ridden through town and busy streets! At home Jake is simple to get along with, he is an easy keeper, requires no maintenance or special diet! He is sound and clean, no vices. He is excellent for the farrier, vet and dentist. He is quiet in a stall and easy to catch when turn out. Jake loves to ride out and see new places, he is easy to load on a trailer and will load off and stand quietly anywhere we go!
