Slate ist einer der elegantesten Kaltblut-Mischlingspferde, die wir je anbieten durften. Mit 16,1 hh und einem beeindruckenden Stahlgrau zeigt dieser kommende 4-jährige Percheron-Mix großes Potenzial, um ein erstklassiges Leistungs- oder Dressurpferd zu werden. Wir könnten ihn problemlos als Fuchsjagdpferd oder sogar im Spring- und Vielseitigkeitsbereich sehen. Er verfügt über schöne Bewegungen, einen natürlich gewölbten Hals, einen gesammelt getragenen Kopf, viel Ausdruck und eine ruhige, gelassene Art. Slate ist absolut ruhig im Umgang, freundlich und brav mit vorbildlichen Bodenmanieren. Wir haben ihn leicht im Springen ausgebildet, und er hat uns nicht enttäuscht. Seine Gänge sind sowohl unter englischem als auch westernlichem Sattel sehr weich und schwungvoll. Er ist sehr feinfühlig und reagiert prompt auf die Signale seines Reiters. Slate steht ruhig für das Aufsteigen. Wir haben ihn auf Ranch- und Trailritten mitgenommen, er ist draußen hervorragend zu führen. Er ist nicht schreckhaft und geht überall hin, wo man ihn hinführt. Er ist sicher auf den Beinen und erklimmt problemlos alles. Slate liebt den Ball und hat das Kicken darin perfektioniert. Er ist sowohl zum Fahren im Einzel- als auch im Doppelanspann ausgebildet. Er kennt den Straßenverkehr, wurde sowohl geritten als auch gefahren auf Autobahnen und Nebenstraßen. Slate ist in jeder Hinsicht gesund und fit.

Slate is one of the most elegant draft crosses we have had the pleasure of offering. Standing at 16.1 hands and a stunning steel gray this coming 4 year old Percheron cross shows a lot of promise to make a top performance type horse. We could easily see him as a fox hunter or even hunter/jumper. He has beautiful movement, and naturally arched neck, collected head set, and lots of expression. Slate is absolutely gentle with no funny business to him. He is sweet and kind and has great ground manners. We have lightly started him over fences and he did not disappoint. His gaits float under both English and Western tack. He is very light and responsive to cues. Slate stands quietly for the mounting block. We have hauled him to the ranch and trail rides and he is excellent outside. He is not spooky and will go anywhere asked of him. He is sure footed and can climb up and down anything. Slate loves the ball and has mastered the art of “kicking” it. Slate is broke to drive both single and double. He is traffic safe and has been ridden and drove down the highways and back roads.
