PEDIGREE: Whizzer is by the one and only 2 million dollar sire Conquistador Whiz. Known for his big stops, he was the stallion to win the NRBC and NRHA derby back to back.
Grandsire is Topsail Whiz the legendary 12 million dollar sire earning 57k in the NRHA himself.
Sly Dun Jewel is by the infamous Hollywood Dun It the record breaking American quarter horse and reining icon! Earning over 65k in the NRHA and producing over 7.7 million!
SHOW EXPERIENCE: Whizzer is a natural in the show ring! Very comfortable and right at home. He’s been shown at the local shows in the reining, the ranch rail and the ranch trail. Requires no big show prep. You can easily maintain him at home without a trainer.
Whizzer is the type of Reiner everyone can learn to ride a Reiner on. He’s responsive to your seat and leg but not overly responsive or overly sensitive. He will go just as fast or as slow as you’d like.
He’s got a comfortable jog, an extremely nice, easy consistent lope, automatic lead changes an easy stop and turns around correct on a full drape!
ENGLISH EXPERIENCE: Whizzer also hacks around English and goes over the jumps with super cute knees! He’s so open minded and willing you could take him to the hunter classes and really hold your own! He packs his head low and correct and goes right to the jumps!
TRAIL EXPERIENCE: Whizzer loves to trail ride!! Down the road, through the woods or take him swimming! He loves going new places!! He doesn’t mind traffic, dogs or wildlife. He goes up and down the big hills carefully and easily and he goes right into the water! He loves to play and splash in the river! He will ride front, middle or back of the pack. He doesn’t mind at all!
DISPOSITION: Whizzer is extremely sweet and loves being loved on. He comes right to you and puts his head in the halter. He loves kisses and having his ears scratched.
Whizzer is also very quiet and easy to ride. He’s got a very got with flow way about him and he can take a joke. He doesn’t get upset when his rider gets off balance or in his face. He’s very forgiving! He would really make an excellent addition to a lesson program or just a casual rider wanting a very broke horse to enjoy!
UPKEEP: Whizzer is an easy keeper. He’s currently eating alfalfa hay and 1 1/2 scoops of a basic pellet twice a day.
He is UTD on everything and currently in shoes all the way around. He has been and can be ridden barefoot as well.
LOADING: Whizzer loads and hauls like a dream. Very quiet and patient in the trailer. He also stands quietly tied to the trailer at the trails and horse shows.
TURNOUT: Whizzer can be on single or group turnout. We’ve had him out with mares and geldings without a fussing or drama.
GROUND MANNERS: Whizzer is great on the ground. Respectful of personal space. He stands like a dream for grooming, washing, saddling, mounting block and he takes the bit easily. He will stand single tied and crosstied. Doesn’t mind dogs or goats around his feet.
BAD HABITS/ VICES: Whizzer has no bad habits or vices. Absolutely no buck, rear, bolt, bite or kick.
TACK: We’ve ridden Whizzer is anything from a halter and lead rope to a snaffle to a correction bit. Our go to bit of choice for him is a medium shank snaffle but he’s really not picky.
