Shining ist ein 17 Jahre alter Saddlebred Wallach. Seit 5 Jahren ist er als Reittherapiepferd für Kinder bis 12 Jahren im Einsatz und macht dabei eine unglaublich schöne Figur. Er wird gebisslos und mit einem Physio Reitpad geritten. Er mag Platzarbeit lieber als Ausritte. Außerdem hat er 4 Gänge und kann einen ausladenden Showtölt gehen . Regelmäßige Zahnarztbesuche und alle 6 Wochen Barhufpflege bekommt er auch. Im Sommer trägt er vorne gerne Hufschuhe an. Er ist aktuell als Reitpferd für schwerere Erwachsene nur bedingt geeignet, da er einen langen und etwas instabilen Rücken hat, der erst wieder auftrainiert werden muss, wenn er gesund mehr als 60 Kg tragen soll. Er ist vom Boden sehr zuverlässig zu händeln, fast nicht zu erschrecken, obwohl er schon ein kleinerer Ferrari sein kann. Ein klassisches Showpferd eben. Er wird nur in die besten Hände abgegeben. Das bedeutet für mich einen Menschen oder Familie, der/die viel Liebe, Zeit und Geduld hat. Und nur in einen großen Offenstall, am besten mit Paddocktrail. Eine kleine, ruhige Herde reicht ihm. Er kann problemlos mit Stuten gehalten werden. Was er nicht mag ist Hänger fahren. Allerdings haben wir dieses Thema in den letzen Jahren nicht weiter behandelt. Shining is a 17-year-old Saddlebred gelding. He has been working as a therapeutic riding horse for children up to 12 years old for the past five years and looks absolutely stunning in this role. He is ridden bitless and with a physiotherapy saddle pad. He prefers groundwork over trail riding. Additionally, he has four gaits and can perform an expansive show Tölt. Regular dental check-ups and hoof care every six weeks are part of his routine. In summer, he likes to wear hoof boots at the front. Currently, he is only conditionally suitable as a riding horse for heavier adults, as he has a long and somewhat unstable back that needs to be reconditioned before he can carry more than 60 kg comfortably. He is very reliable on the ground and almost not easily spooked, although he can be a little firecracker at times—truly a classic show horse. He is only entrusted to the best hands. For me, this means a person or family with plenty of love, time, and patience. He thrives in a large paddock with a paddock trail, and a small, quiet herd is ideal. He can be kept comfortably with mares. What he doesn’t like is trailer transport. However, we haven’t worked on this aspect in recent years. Shining est un hongre Saddlebred de 17 ans. Il travaille depuis 5 ans comme cheval de thérapie équestre pour des enfants jusqu’à 12 ans, et il y joue un rôle magnifique. Il est monté sans mors et avec un tapis de physiothérapie. Il préfère le travail en place plutôt que les sorties en extérieur. De plus, il possède quatre allures et peut exécuter un trot en piaffer spectaculaire. Il bénéficie de visites régulières chez le vétérinaire-dentiste et d’un ferrage toutes les six semaines. En été, il porte volontiers des fers à l’avant. Actuellement, il est seulement adapté en tant que cheval de loisir pour des adultes plus lourds, car il a un dos long et légèrement instable, qui doit encore être renforcé pour pouvoir porter plus de 60 kg en bonne santé. Il est très fiable à manipuler au sol, presque jamais effrayé, même s’il peut parfois se montrer un peu fougueux – un vrai petit Ferrari, en somme, un cheval de spectacle classique. Il est confié uniquement à des personnes ou familles qui ont beaucoup d’amour, de temps et de patience. Il préfère un grand pré, idéalement avec un paddock trail. Un petit troupeau calme lui convient parfaitement. Il peut facilement cohabiter avec des juments. Ce qu’il n’aime pas, c’est le transport en van.
