Meet "John Wayne" (JW) – a handsome 3-year-old registered Appaloosa gelding standing 15 hands and weighing approximately 900 lbs.
JW has been a pleasure to have in our barn. He has a kind, willing attitude and is eager to learn, making him a wonderful young horse with a bright future. He has been started the right way and is a beautiful mover with a smooth jog, comfortable lope, and a soft, responsive mouth.
We've exposed JW to a little bit of everything, including trail riding, swimming, arena work, and small jumps. He takes new experiences in stride and handles them with confidence. He rides quietly away from the barn, has no funny business, and is always willing to please. On the trail, he confidently navigates obstacles and is comfortable with tarps, large balls, dogs, traffic, and other common distractions.
JW has excellent ground manners. He stands patiently for grooming, the farrier, bathing, saddling, and clipping. He hauls quiet & backs off the trailer nicely.
