Sjötta is een brave en leergierige pony die een geweldige kinderpony kan worden. Hij heeft daarnaast ook potentie om opgeleid te worden als menpony. Sjötta is een Curly Horse, geregistreerd bij de International Curly Horse Organisation, en draagt het krulgen. Dankzij dit gen zijn Curly Horses vaak geschikt voor kinderen of volwassenen met een paardenallergie, omdat zij meestal veel minder of helemaal niet reageren op Curly Horses. Wanneer Sjötta als dekhengst wordt ingezet, geeft hij het krulgen in 50% van de gevallen door. Dit biedt de unieke mogelijkheid om zelf Curly Horses te fokken.
