"Cooper" ist ein sensibler, dabei sehr menschenbezogener Schimmelwallach, der den täglichen Umgang mit Menschen gewohnt ist. Im Gelände zeigt er sich sicher und zuverlässig und im Umgang mit anderen Pferden ist er sozialverträglich. Aufgrund eines bereits länger bestehenden gesundheitlichen Befundes wurde das Pferd über einen längeren Zeitraum tierärztlich betreut und entsprechend behandelt. Trotz einer konsequenten Ruhe- und Erholungsphase besteht weiterhin eine geringgradige Lahmheit. Es liegt eine chronische Veränderung im Bereich des rechten Vorderhufes vor. Aus diesem Grund ist der Wallach nach aktueller tierärztlichen Einschätzung nicht mehr sportfähig. Gesucht wird ein geeigneter Platz als Beistell- und Freizeitpferd ohne intensive reiterliche und sportliche Belastung. Besonders wünschenswert wäre eine Haltung gemeinsam mit weiteren Pferden in einem Offenstall oder in Weidenhaltung, die ihm regelmäßige, kontrollierte und seinem Gesundheitszustand angepasste Bewegung ermöglicht. Für seine weitere Haltung ist ein konsequentes Management erforderlich. Hierzu gehören insbesondere die regelmäßige fachgerechte Hufbearbeitung mit einem orthopädisch angepassten Beschlag, sowie eine kontrollierte und angepasste Bewegung. Aufgrund des chronischen Befundes müssen diese Anforderungen dauerhaft berücksichtigt werden.
