Hermes is a great family horse that can handle just about anything. He jumps well, goes out alone and in groups, enjoys going into the water, and was apparently also driven in the past (not tested with us).  
He has regularly participated in desensitization training and has patiently carried small children both in the arena and out on trails.  
However, since he tends to test his rider like a pony, he is not a pure beginner's horse. Consistency is required in handling and under saddle if you want performance from him, then he will cooperate nicely.  

Currently, he is in a paddock with 9 geldings and young stallions and holds a high rank in the group. He also knows box stall with daily turnout or pasture.
