Are you looking for that extremely personable crossbred gelding with all the bells and whistles? One who's covered from head to toe in golden dapples with the most whimsical wavey white mane and tail? One who's the life of the party and has more personality than your favorite comedian? Couple that with his unparalleled riding and driving abilities and you have Dillon! Dillon was born and raised on the same farm and trained by the best in the business. He is 4 years old and stands 16hh. He is as sensible as the day is long and as comfortable as floating on a cloud. Dillon walk, trots, canters and stops on a dime. He knows his leads and effortlessly transitions both upward and down. He has easy flying lead changes. He knows how to yield to the leg side pass and pivot. He is so in tune with his rider you can pull the bride off and saddle, and you can walk trot canter and jump a full course navigating only with the lightest of seat and leg pressure. He has carried the flag. He's moved cattle. He will drive a cart down the road. He knows every trick in the book such as how to lay down with a light tap on his ankle and how to sit up like a dog. Dillon will follow you around the arena at the walk trot and canter. He will stop with you and Back if you step backwards. He jumps full courses and beautiful form and holds a steady canter. He has seen countless hours in the woods and on the roads, and he is not one to spook it anything. He is happy to do his job you can watch his expression in the video. He is just totally content with almost any rider on his back. He will hit the trails in a group or will gladly venture out alone. He’s quite and steady moving. He will walk along and soak in the views or he will effortlessly move out into a trot or canter. The breaks are also good! He is 100% ok with wildlife, woods, water, traffic, bikes and all the activity you can find. You won’t find an obstacle that will phase him. He has also been ridden in the arena and he has great self carriage and will make circles as round and supple as you ask of him. He jumps around full courses and enjoys it. We think he would be a stellar hunter/jumper horse, fox hunt horse, dressage mount or just that all around boy! He’s enjoyed several hunter paces with several riders. This is a very hard horse to sell as he’s near to impossible to replace. If sales were not a big part of our program this boy would never leave. I can’t say enough about him.
