I’ll start off by saying that Doc is one of if not the nicest young gelding to come through my barn. He is absolutely wonderful in every single way, and I can’t wait to find him his perfect home!
Under saddle, Doc is INCREDIBLY talented. The training he has under his belt is extensive and it shows! In western tack, he will slow jog the comfiest rhythm like a western pleasure quarter horse, and lope off from a stand still like it’s nothing. He transitions into English tack and moves out beautifully and elegantly, soft in the bridle like a decorated hunter. He rides in a simple snaffle and responds to leg and seat aids. And with all of these impressive buttons installed, he is still wonderfully forgiving. Any level rider can take hold of the reins and have a downright wonderful ride. He could excel in so many disciplines and show rings, yet is gentle enough to be a therapy horse.
He is exceptional on the trails, alone and with others. He is also trained to drive! And although driving is not my speciality so I cannot speak much on it, he sure looks good doing it! Doc is also very confident over bridges and obstacles. He doesn’t bat an eyelash with the cap gun, riding over tarps, or carrying a flag. He is so safe and steady, I trust him entirely carting myself and my toddler around. You have to pry my baby out of the saddle when he rides Doc!
On the ground Doc is exactly what you’d call an “in your pocket” gelding. He is the first to be caught and the last one at the gate watching you walk away. He is the easiest keeper, barefoot, and a HUGE perk? He poops in ONE pile. The cleanest gentleman in the barn! He straight ties and crossties. Stands to be groomed, doted on and fussed over. Will trot to the trailer and load with his ears pricked forward.
This guy has been loved his entire life. From the minute he hit the ground he has been taken upmost care of, and all of his history is known. Lots of extra pictures and videos are available. Please feel free to call me any time, I would love to chat about this wonderful guy. ♥️
