Although he seems magical, it doesn’t take magic to have a horse as good as Voodoo! One ride is all it takes to understand why Xtra Shiney Pep, better known as “Voodoo,” has a way of winning people over. He’s the kind of horse that quietly builds confidence, handles every job with ease, and makes you wonder if there really is a little magic behind the name. Standing 14.3 hands, this striking 2021 AQHA sooty buckskin gelding is the kind that turns heads before you ever swing a leg over him. His rich, dark buckskin coat, athletic build, and kind eye make him unforgettable, but it’s what’s under the saddle that truly sets him apart. Voodoo is bred to perform, carrying the legendary bloodlines of Shiners Voodoo Dr (one of Shining Sparks highest earning sires) on the top side and the proven cow sense of Dual Pep on the bottom. That pedigree shines through every time he steps into a job. He’s a ranch horse deluxe that’s been there and done it. Voodoo has roped and doctored countless head of cattle, handles long days with ease, and has the grit and sense you want when real work needs to be done. Whether you’re sorting, gathering, checking fences, or doctoring cattle, he’s the kind you can saddle every morning knowing he’ll take care of business. When the work is done, Voodoo is just as happy slowing things down. He’s family safe for riders of any age, has been ridden by kids, and is the kind of horse everyone in the family can enjoy with confidence. He’s been ridden through town, taking traffic, commotion, and everyday life in stride, and he’s equally dependable on the trails. From rocky hillsides and creek crossings to quiet evening rides, he goes wherever you point him with a willing attitude. Finding a horse that’s young enough to have years ahead of him, seasoned enough to know his job, and gentle enough for the whole family isn’t easy. Voodoo checks every box! If you’ve been looking for a horse with eye appeal, world-class breeding, proven ranch experience, and the kind of disposition that’s hard to find, don’t let this one disappear. The only magic here is how quickly Voodoo will make you wonder how you ever got along without him.
