With a heavy heart, I am looking for a forever home for my gelding Zickzack. Due to my third pregnancy, I must be honest with myself that I can no longer dedicate the time required for two horses. Therefore, I am seeking a loving and caring home for him.

Zickzack is a Holsteiner gelding, born in 2012. I have mainly worked with him from the ground, and we have gone on rides or trained on the riding arena. Recently, due to stable renovations and my pregnancy, we have ridden less. He is a "little" cuddle bug (16.1 hh) and well-behaved in handling. He is familiar with walks, ground work, lunging, riding in the arena, and in the field. 

He has been ridden for leisure and has three successful dressage tests. However, in the outdoor environment, he can be somewhat unsure and needs regular routines. I have been riding him for a long time without a bit (using a hackamore, but without leverage), and this has worked well for us.

He is very sensitive but can sometimes be a bit of a clown or a little stubborn. He is not suitable for beginners. He needs clear, consistent leadership and a person who can provide him with security. You should also be saddle-savvy, as he can occasionally buck, especially when stressed. Usually, these are small jumps when cantering, but sometimes, if he's stressed, it can be more pronounced — I want to be honest about that.

Otherwise, he is absolutely well-behaved and always attentive to his handler. He is quite sociable and currently lives in a mixed herd, where he has become quite high-ranking.

In his past, he has experienced some difficult things, including many unpleasant incidents. Due to his excellent pedigree, he should ideally become a show jumping horse, and he was extensively transported and competed. He also suffered from a ringbone syndrome, which was successfully operated on before he came to me, and he has had no further issues since.

Additionally, he has MIM (formerly PSSM2), so during winter, he only goes outside with a blanket. With the right blanket, feeding, and sufficient exercise, he is well-managed in this regard.

I am looking for someone who still has space in their heart for him — someone patient and willing to invest time. He is a horse with great potential to grow and develop further. Unfortunately, due to lack of time, I cannot give him the attention he deserves anymore.

He will only be placed in the best hands and a wonderful home. Priority goes to the well-being of the horse.

Accessories can be taken over if needed (matching blankets with liners, fly sheet, fly masks, saddle [brand Sommer, fitted]).
