"Salty" is a gorgeous 14-year-old Oldenburg gelding. He is looking for a special new forever home.

This is a situation where he is being offered for free to an approved, good home, under the condition that if something were to happen, he would be returned. His well-being is most important.

Salty is not suited to be a riding horse. However, he has excellent potential to become a driving horse. He is extremely cold-backed under saddle, but he is fantastic when long-lined or lunged. He is very brave, not spooky, a quick learner, and has a very sweet personality.

He gets along wonderfully with other horses, is an easy keeper, and would also make an excellent pasture mate for someone looking for a kind companion. He would also be super happy as just a pasture mate if he weren't to go into a different career.

He is NOT being offered to a riding home. The video is of him long-lining. He is very responsive and receptive to it, and this is why we truly feel that he could be a very nice driving or carriage horse. Professional drivers have also taken a look and agreed that he could be very good at it!

Salty is sound, healthy, and up-to-date on vaccinations, etc.
