Seitdem hat er sich zu einem sehr unkomplizierten Reitpferd entwickelt. Er beherrscht alle drei Grundgangarten sicher und kennt die Arbeit in der Halle, auf dem Außenplatz gemeinsam mit anderen Pferden sowie im Gelände. Besonders hervorzuheben ist sein Galopp, der bereits jetzt eine schöne Bergauftendenz erkennen lässt und viel Qualität für seine weitere Entwicklung mitbringt. Seine größte Stärke ist jedoch sein Charakter und seine Arbeitseinstellung. Gavino ist ein unglaublich liebes, ruhiges und menschenbezogenes Pferd.
