Westfälischer Schimmelwallach – liebevoller Freizeit- & Springpartner mit Charme Casanova ist ein 16-jähriger Westfalen-Wallach (geb. 24.01.2009) mit einem Stockmaß von ca. 170 cm. Er ist ein sehr lieber, verschmuster Schimmel, der die Nähe zum Menschen genießt und sich im täglichen Umgang stets freundlich zeigt. Casanova wurde beim Züchter bis M* gesprungen, danach in der zweiten Hand bis L und bei mir überwiegend auf A*- bis A**-Niveau eingesetzt. Einzelne Sprünge bis etwa 130/135 cm meistert er problemlos. Er arbeitet motiviert mit, kennt Bodenarbeit, Dressurarbeit, Longieren, Doppellonge, Springen, Ausritte und Spaziergänge. Unterschiedliche Reiter stellen für ihn kein Problem dar. Im Gelände ist er brav, geht alleine aber etwas schüchtern und fühlt sich in Begleitung deutlich wohler, wobei er es bevorzugt, hinter einem anderen Pferd zu laufen. In der Dressur fällt es ihm schwer, eine konstante Anlehnung zu halten und reell durch den Körper zu schwingen, weshalb er hier einen einfühlsamen und geduldigen Reiter braucht. Im Umgang ist Casanova absolut unkompliziert: Er kennt es, ein- oder beidseitig angebunden zu werden, sowohl auf dem Putzplatz, in der Stallgasse als auch in der Waschbox. Putzen, Waschen, Scheren und das tägliche Fertigmachen genießt er sichtlich. Beim Schmied ist er sehr brav und trägt seit jeher einen Vollbeschlag. Auf der Wiese oder dem Paddock kommt er sowohl alleine als auch mit anderen Pferden zurecht. Unarten wie Steigen, Treten oder Bocken zeigte er bei mir nicht. Gesundheitlich ist er grundsätzlich fit. Leider kann ich durch eine Erkrankung nicht mehr reiten, weswegen für Casanova ein neues Zuhause gesucht wird. Er wird nur in gute Hände abgegeben, aber grundsätzlich gilt: Platz vor Preis! Aufgrund seines Alters eignet sich Casanova ideal als zuverlässiger Freizeitpartner, der aber weiterhin gerne Turnierluft schnuppert und sich dort stets brav gezeigt hat. Westphalian Grey Gelding – Loving Leisure & Jumping Partner with Charm Casanova is a 16-year-old Westphalian gelding (born January 24, 2009) with a height of approximately 16.1 hh. He is a very sweet, affectionate grey who enjoys human company and always presents himself in a friendly manner. Casanova was trained up to M* level by the breeder, then in second hand up to L, and has mostly been used at A* to A** level with me. He easily handles individual jumps up to about 130/135 cm. He works motivatedly and is familiar with groundwork, dressage, lunging, double longe, jumping, hacking, and walks. Different riders pose no problem for him. In the field, he is well-behaved but a bit shy when alone and feels much more comfortable in company, preferably following another horse. In dressage, he finds it difficult to maintain consistent contact and to swing truly through his body, so he needs a sensitive and patient rider in this discipline. In handling, Casanova is completely uncomplicated: he is used to being tied on one or both sides, whether in the grooming area, stable aisle, or wash box. He enjoys grooming, washing, clipping, and daily preparation. He is very well-behaved at the blacksmith and has always been shod with full shoes. On pasture or paddock, he gets along well both alone and with other horses. He has shown no vices such as rearing, kicking, or bucking. He is generally healthy. He has a dust allergy but copes well with moist or steamed hay and has shown no issues since April 2025 when fed normal dry hay from the manger. Additionally, due to an accident as a foal, he has a crooked nasal septum that causes a breathing noise but does not impair him. Blood gas analyses were within the normal, good range. Due to his age, Casanova is an ideal reliable leisure partner who still enjoys occasional competition and has always behaved well there. Yegua gris Westfalia – dulce compañera de ocio y salto con encanto Casanova es un caballo castrado de 16 años, de la región Westfalia (nacido el 24.01.2009), con una altura de aproximadamente 170 cm. Es un caballo muy cariñoso y afectuoso, que disfruta de la cercanía con las personas y siempre se muestra amigable en el trato diario. Casanova fue preparado para saltar hasta nivel M* con su criador, posteriormente en segunda mano hasta nivel L, y en mi mano principalmente en niveles A* a A**. Supera sin problemas saltos individuales de aproximadamente 130/135 cm. Trabaja con motivación, conoce la doma, el trabajo en tierra, el trabajo en el picadero, la cuerda doble, el salto, los paseos y las excursiones. No le supone ningún problema que diferentes jinetes monten en él. En campo es tranquilo, aunque algo tímido cuando va solo, y se siente mucho más cómodo en compañía, prefiriendo seguir a otro caballo. En la disciplina de doma, le resulta difícil mantener una conexión constante y moverse con un movimiento fluido a través del cuerpo, por lo que necesita un jinete sensible y paciente. En el trato, Casanova es completamente fácil: está acostumbrado a estar atado por ambos lados, ya sea en el lugar de limpieza, en el pasillo del establo o en la caja de lavado. Disfruta mucho del cepillado, el lavado, el recorte y la preparación diaria. Es muy tranquilo en la herrería y siempre lleva herraduras completas. En el prado o paddock, se lleva bien tanto solo como con otros caballos. No ha mostrado comportamientos indeseados como cabalgar, patear o rebotar. En cuanto a su salud, en general está en buen estado. Tiene una alergia al polvo, pero tolera bien el heno húmedo o en vapor y, desde abril de 2025, no ha presentado problemas con heno seco normal de comedero. Además, debido a un accidente en su potro, tiene una desviación en la pared nasal que produce un sonido respiratorio, pero no le afecta en su rendimiento. Los análisis de gases en sangre fueron normales y en buen rango. Por su edad, Casanova es ideal como un compañero de ocio confiable, que además disfruta participar en concursos y siempre se ha comportado de manera ejemplar en esas ocasiones. Westfaalse schimmelhengst – liefdevolle vrijetijds- en springpartner met charme Casanova is een 16-jarige Westfaalse hengst (geboren op 24-01-2009) met een stokmaat van ongeveer 170 cm. Hij is een zeer vriendelijke, knuffelige schimmel die geniet van nabijheid tot mensen en zich altijd vriendelijk gedraagt in de omgang. Casanova is bij de fokker tot M*-niveau gesprongen, daarna in tweedehandsgebruik tot L-niveau, en bij mij voornamelijk ingezet op A*- tot A**-niveau. Enkele sprongen tot ongeveer 130/135 cm gaat hij zonder problemen aan. Hij werkt gemotiveerd mee, kent grondwerk, dressuur, longeerwerk, dubbele longe, springen, buitenritten en wandelingen. Verschillende ruiters vormen geen probleem voor hem. In het terrein is hij braaf, maar gaat hij alleen wat schuchter, en voelt hij zich in gezelschap duidelijk prettiger, waarbij hij liever achter een ander paard loopt. In de dressuur vindt hij het moeilijk om een constante aanleuning te behouden en echt door het lichaam te schwingen, daarom heeft hij een gevoelige en geduldige ruiter nodig. In de omgang is Casanova volledig unkompliziert: hij kent het om aan beide zijden vastgebonden te worden, zowel op de poetsplaats, in de stalgang als in de wasbox. Hij geniet zichtbaar van poetsen, wassen, scheren en het dagelijkse klaar maken. Bij de hoefsmid is hij zeer braaf en draagt hij sinds jaar en dag volledig hoefbeslag. Op de wei of in de paddock kan hij zowel alleen als met andere paarden goed uit de voeten. Ongewenst gedrag zoals steigeren, trappen of bokken heb ik bij hem niet gezien. Gezondheidsmatig is hij in principe fit. Hij heeft een stofallergie, maar kan probleemloos met nat of gestoomd hooi omgaan en vertoonde sinds april 2025 ook geen afwijkingen bij normaal droog hooi uit de hooibak. Daarnaast heeft hij door een ongeluk als veulen een scheef neusbeen, wat een ademgeluid veroorzaakt, maar hem niet belemmert. Bloedgasanalyses waren ongestoord en in de goede range. Vanwege zijn leeftijd is Casanova ideaal als betrouwbare vrijetijdsgenoot, die echter nog graag aan wedstrijden meedoet en zich daar altijd braaf heeft gedragen.
