Lusitanos na poziomie światowym w konkurencji Working Equitation

Licor Dos Rios is an 11-year-old Lusitano gelding with a modern, athletic build. Approximately 160 cm (15.3 hh), though he feels bigger under saddle. A very handsome horse with correct conformation and good legs. He was imported from Portugal by us in February 2023.

In just three years, Rico has gone from never having competed and never having trained Working Equitation obstacles to competing at the very highest levels of Working Equitation.

With me (23 years old), Rico has competed up to International Master level in Working Equitation and Medium B level in dressage. He has qualified for the Swedish Senior Working Equitation Championships and has numerous wins and placings up to Medium A in Working Equitation and Medium B in dressage.

He would be an excellent partner for a Junior or Young Rider looking to develop, compete at championship level, and achieve consistent success in Working Equitation. He would also suit a dressage rider who wants to further develop his considerable potential in dressage, as my main focus has been Working Equitation.

Rico has a wonderful attitude to work. He genuinely enjoys his job and always tries his best. He is very quick to learn, responsive to the aids, and appreciates a calm, confident rider.

He has been trained regularly with a Grand Prix dressage rider.

On the ground, Rico is uncomplicated and easy to handle. He loads, stands for the farrier, enjoys being bathed and clipped, and loves being groomed and braided. He is reliable in traffic and is equally happy hacking alone or in company.

He has never had any injuries. X-rays from 2023 available.
