Meet Junior! Junior is a John mule standing 15.2 and the perfect age of 7! We have had Junior for the last 2 years, in the last two years he’s spent many days on the trails and gathering cattle. We spent many long weekends camping and Junior always adapts to new campsite with ease. He will stand all weekend on a picket line and not fuss about it and hobbles as well. On the trails he’s very brave and will go wherever you point him and not question you. He will lead the pack and remains calm when other horses ride off from him.
We have had fun taking Junior to fun shows, we have had multiple blue ribbons in the western pleasure. We have done the pickup race, poles and barrels with him. Some of these classes require him to be ridden double which does not bother him. We often times get called to gather loose cattle and Junior has came with many times. If someone green is coming with us to gather cattle we often put them in Junior because he is hard to frighten in the wild times that can happen.
Junior is easy to catch, shoes great, loads with ease, and stands to be bathed. Mules like him are hard to come by. He’s athletic with a fancy handle, takes both leads, has smooth transitions, and nice turnaround. This would make him a great mule to take to the show pen or stick out anywhere u go on the trail.
