Have you been searching for an athletic pony for a short stirrup, rodeo pony, or ultimate trail riding pony?? Here he is and one of the sweetest boys to boot. Queso is 4 yrs old and 48” tall, just one of those ponies that loves to work everyday and wants to please you. He has a huge personality and loves to be with people! He is so friendly and loving, he will leave the herd to come to you. Queso is VERY athletic and has been started in barrels, poles, goats, and dummy breakaway. It wouldn’t take him long to be a jam up rodeo pony. Queso also looks AMAZING under English tack, he has such pretty movement and looks like he was just born to be an English pony! He is very fluent moving, collects up in the bridle, and floats over jumps like he’s been doing it for years. He actually LOVES to jump! Queso would excel in so many different disciplines, he is just that versatile and takes to all of it quickly. He has also been rode outside the arena alot, down the road, thru the trails, hog hunting, in thick brush and thickets, crosses creeks, he is 100% traffic safe, he’s used to a lot of kids and dogs running all around him, not spooky at all, tarps, balls, and flags don’t bother him. He rides well alone or in a group and is comfortable leading or following on a loose rein, he also loves to explore and is always very confident! Queso will side pass, opens and closes gates, Walk/Trot/Lope easy collected circles, catches both leads and has a cool stop! He really wants to slide. He is easy easy to be around, he leads, loads, stands tied quietly, bathes, and saddles/bridles with ease. My girls (7 & 11) catch and saddle him while riding their Segways, he couldn’t care less! Queso is a been there done that type pony with a lot of experience under his belt. He is 110% safe on the ground with absolutely NO kick or bite and has ZERO buck or freshness even if you leave him off for weeks at a time. He has also been used for lead-line for the little ones! He requires no special maintenance and is easy to keep. He is up to date on farrier, deworming, and vaccinations. Queso is 100% sound and stays barefoot. Don’t miss out on a special pony!
